| FREEBIE... Shuttle ZXX Just picked up a Shuttle ZXX in nice shape from a guy that had to get it out of his basement. Gave it to me free with a nice test stand, a boat load of accessories, a gallon of fuel and the radio. Some minor corrosion on some linkages and terminals due to humidity, but other than that not much wrong. Doesn't look to have ever been crashed, or even flown that much. Ok, that said, I've putzed around with an E-Flight Blade that I have. Never really got the hang of flying it, but have had it in some hovers for short periods of time. Still have it but it's 'down' for maintenance due to an inadvertent collision with my patio door. Just never really had time to learn to fly it. So, here I am with this Shuttle and am getting serious about this stuff and looking to track down someone that can A) look this thing over and see what needs to be fixed/adjusted and B) give me some instruction. Wondering what I should be prepared to pay for all this. I know there's no way to know what any needed repairs might cost, but for the looksee and instruction is there any guide to what someone might charge me? |

| Re: FREEBIE... Shuttle ZXX I would try to find a local club and take it there for the members to check it over. Its possible to do the learning on your own but there is always that risk of injury to yourself not to mention a trashed model. The Shuttle is a popular heli, they have sold well over the years. 30 size is a nice size too...not overbearing to fly and small enough to fit in your car easily should transport be an issue. Rob |

| Re: FREEBIE... Shuttle ZXX Yes and if your heli has been sitting around rusting for awhile you will need to take all of the ball links apart and clean the metal balls of rust or your controls will be sticky. I know this first hand because of my old Cobra. I also would upgrade to a new gyro to make flying easier. Good luck and good flying!
