Re: Pic of my TREX450SA

Pics not that great but here are the 2 together. The Bright orange doesn't turn out right in this lighting...

Re: Pic of my TREX450SA

Looks good, how does the Nitro Rex fly? they sure seem popular.

I must post my Predator pics soon, painted the canopy bright orange. Looks ok.
I havent flown her for a while since a smash a few months back...got horribly mixed up in bad light...couldnt make out which way she was going hopefully the new paint scheme will help.

Yeah, been meaning to go 2.4 gig for a while now. I have ordered a spare RX for the Predator...my old radio will get sold along with a Sceadu I have...would love to keep it but dont have the room and want to recover the cost of this new radio.

Re: Pic of my TREX450SA

Thanks . It flys really well . I put the orange on the top and the green on the bottom to help me with orentation an other thing is I try to fly with the sun at my back which really makes the colors stand out...You'll love the 2.4 no worries of glitches...

Re: Pic of my TREX450SA

I had the sun behind me when the heli went it, I had painted it a while before where it was green on top and black underneath...trouble was that at a distance it was hard to make out the colours.

I might go for a Robbe Helicommand one of these days...quite pricey but if it all goes bad it could make a difference...be handy for the camera stuff I do anyhow.

Talking of auto level stuff I was checking out a website last night...one unit that Robbe make sells for well over £2000:00 KERRR CHHIIINGGGG! it was pictured with some computer leads and so on...darn thing must be able to fly itself a whole mission....it mentioned an 'Auto Land' function should a loss of signal happen.

The website is www.heliguy.com....check it out sometime.

Re: Pic of my TREX450SA

Looks good, the canopy was painted like that from the Factory?

I really like the 450 size, was flying mine last night after revamping the power curve a bit...tamed it down a little.

I have had problems with glitches and so on for ages, its bad news when a heli goes in because of it.
I do like the SE version, my Workmate was hovering his last night and its just soooo smooth. I had a quick go to verify that there was no problem with the Gyro...there wasnt. The battery was getting low that was all

Re: Pic of my TREX450SA

i BOUGHT THE CANOPY OFF EBAY. $5.00. it's fiberglass and is painted fairly good. I really like it although it can be hard to see if the background is dark.

Re: Pic of my TREX450SA

I made my current canopy out of a soap bottle

got fed up trashing the factory ones, the radio stuff kept glitching all the time...I was wanting to spend the cash on the parts that really mattered...the Canopy is more a visual thing.

The trouble with the soap bottle material is getting paint to stick to it...though coloured tape could be a good option.
