This is a well known phenomenon that happens with the VE. At low headspeeds the VE will go into a wobble. The lower the HS gets, the worse the wobble and eventually the heli will crash.

Yes, keep the headspeed up, with the above mentioned pinions recomendations you should not have any problems.

The wobble can happen with any blades as it has to do with HS and the dampening system in the head. I don't want to scare with this though. Like I said I set it up with a HS of 1600 and the only time I ever saw the wobble come was doing FFF into a wind with almost full collective. I am sure my HS had dropped off considerably. I normally run a HS of 1800-1900.

If you are fairly confident in your flying skills and are willing to spend the money on the carbons then yes, they are well worth it over the VE's wood blades. My VE is the other one in the picture section of this site. I also have my VE stretched and run the MAH463 blades. My set came with a perfectly matched CG and perfectly matched weight.
I have been flying my VE for some time and know it real well. When you get it and get around to setting it up, feel free to ask any questions you have of me.
