To determine where to place the tape you first need to find the CG (center of gravity) of each blade. If the CG is the same on each tape directly on that point to balance them. If not then you can use the tape to adjust both the balance and the CG at the same time. Putting vinyl tap out on the ends of the blades is not always dun to balance them.
