You don't say what version that you are buying but if it has any of the gyros but the G001 then your Ok there and if the motor is brushless you might be able to use it. Check the servos carefully for overtravel as that burns them out quickly or causes shutdowns and lockouts.

Yea, its brushless. I set up the servos, tracked the blades and tried to lift off and the Radio gear has a bad glitch when i ran it up.
I cleaned crystal contacts and i'll see if that works. If not i'll put DX-7 in it and when i destroy the 36 i'll get a comet kit.
I think it will serve its purpose as a trainer.
