OK, after that first crash when it took off like a bullet. I finally got the replacement parts. I took it to the Savannah to give it a try. I had the blades spinning, not too anxious to attempt a lift off. Rain then decided to fall. I pulled down the throttle, snatched the Heli and ran for my truck. My hand accidentally pushed the control up, but the blades had no room in which to spin, as a result the motor burnt. My reflexes at that time was horrible to say the least, because I did not immediately realized what caused the motor to start up. In my haste I neglected to unplug the battery. From ever since the replacement motors kept burning after a relatively short while of spinning the blades. I keep the Heli restrained while doing this so that it won't leave the ground.
About the tail motor. I guess I've been lucky so far. I saw heat sinks for main & tail motors. Not for the Eagle 50, but I believe it could work.
However I'm going for the brushless main motor and maybe the heat sink for the tail motor.
I'm just trying to get my money's worth from the Eagle 50. | I don't want to discourage you as many people fly that Heli but I also don't want to see you incouraged to quit flying by an unreliable Heli.
I almost gave up Flying these things because the Heli that I had was so unreliable that I couldn't tell If It was the problem or if it was my flying.
Tail motors are sneaky bad and will cause you to crash more than fly so don't be fooled into thinking that you can't fly a Heli.
