| Re: Main motor keeps burning It is tough, small electric helis are a handful to fly at the best of times...and trying to sort out issues with setting up and so on when the instructions are not helpful...or non existent? thats even worse.
Everyone likes a bargain, and we are in it for the enjoyment of the hobby...getting that bargain heli that delivers good performance is a gamble.
I have heard good things about the Belt CP, but make sure parts are easy to get...thats the biggest pain...no parts and no backup.
If you have the cash, and the time and the space I would say go Nitro...I started off like this with a Kyosho Nexus 30...got me 16 hrs flight time on that baby!! no bull sh6t...it was a good heli...I broke it pushing my luck too far and it was going to cost too much to fix.
Bang for buck I would say get a Nitro, they are more stable and if they are trimmed well they will behave. And you arent limited by battery...if the flight pack battery is a good capacity one...say 2000mah you can get a LOT of flying done...all you need is the fuel.
Its a catch 22...you need airtime to get experience...but you need experience to check that heli out before trying to fly it.
If you can get to a club it would be worth your while...if the members are good they will show interest in your plight and help sort things out.
Do you have a simulator at all? its worth it.
