On the belt cp you need to adjust the pitch rate. I don't know which knob that is on the Esky radio. Check your manuel for that and you should be fine.
I had that same thing happen with a friends JR30 nitro! You talk about an adrenenlin rush! Somehow I managed to land it but the pitch was basically on-off not gradual.
