I'll upgrade to the brushless motor. How much I spend on it in the future will depend on what next goes wrong.
If I get satisfactory life span from the motor and nothing else goes wrong in a hurry, then I'm OK. Otherwise I'll stick with my E sky belt CP. Which incidentally is down right now. I crashed it.

I did some research on different types of batteries on the Internet.
Yes, the Li-Po is the way to go, but care must be taken while recharging.
It's safer to use the charger that came with the battery.
The Ni-Cad, the Ni-Mn and the Ni-Mh, suffer from memory effect (which is actually voltage depression)(what ever that means) as well as a high, self discharge rate.
The memory effect however, hardly affect the NiMh while it is non existent in the Li-Po battery.
That being said, it is worth noting that manufacturers are working on and have managed to minimize memory effects on batteries.
