My opinion on this is if you don't want to take the precautions to correctly handle and use lipos then don't get into electric helis. Your just fooling yourself if you think that anything else can even come close to the performance of them.
I assume from some of the comments that Nitro and alcohol is somehow safe and nonflammable?
