| Walkera 52 Hi Everyone. I am new to the R/C Helicopter game and have been having a difficult time. I have had 3 "never really flew off the ground" attempts with catastrophic results. I own a Walkera 52. First flight I destroyed the rotor blades within 30 seconds of flight. After the first crash I figured I'd better get spare parts so I ordered online from Walkera about 15 extra blades and all the rotor head and linkage. Second time I put on the new blades no incident but never went above 6 inches with multiple crashes. The third time I went outside cause I figured if I got it in the air then I could get use to the controls. I managed to lift off about 2 feet off the ground it veered right....right into the ground and broke the tail boom....a part I didn't order. Does anyone know if they make a metal replacement boom for the 52? I saw it for the 36 and 60 but nothing on the 52. I figure the way I am going, I better look at durable parts or buy a lot of replacement parts. I bought the copter in Germany and it only had German and French instructions. The Radio is set for North America so all the controls are set up like as in the US. I downloaded a manual in English and tried my best to do all the pre-flight stuff, I didn't know I actually needed a helicopter mechanics degree to fly the RC version. So if any of you can help me, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks SW |
