A diode is an electronic component. It's sort of a one-way street, allowing electricity to flow through it in only one direction.
4-channel refers to the number of control inputs. Throttle up/down, rudder rt/lt, cyclic fwd/bk, cyclic rt/lt. Your Co-Comanche looks to be a modified Esky Lama, so it probably has 2 servos.
