Has any one hit a bird with their helicopter before? It did not long ago. It happened one saturday morning I had two work mates come watch me fly, and they were asking loads of questions. one said to me as a seagul was flying over the pad, could you keep up with that, I was flying the oppossite way at the time, so I turned sharp and in a few seconds was right along side the seagul, as I had made my point I was just about to turn back round when it put its head in the blades and lost the top of it right away. it came down like a stone, I landed and all that was wrong with the raptor 90 was a bent fly bar and a paddle out of line. We went over to the seagul to check it was dead and his brain was hanging by his spinal cord and the top of head was hanging by the side of its neck. yes he was dead. we put it the ditch so the fox in the area could have a free meal.
