Re: A question to people who fly .90's

Im newbie also, I just started on Feb 07 with a Raptor 30 V2, I used to fly fixed wings since 15 years ago, at that time in order to learn someone sold me .19 veco engine, mounted on a plastic (heavy) Futaba Trainer plane, 40 inches wing span, I have been told that that was a cheap plane with very strong body to support crashes, small engine which is safer and bla, bla, bla, I really suffered learning with this thing trying to compensate the lack of power required when you got into trouble, as a thumb of rule if price is not concern goes to the highest you can afford. My first crash with the Raptor 30 was due a rich mixture on my OS32H, great engine, but I think it is marginal, it should be very good adjusted to really feel comfortable with it, which is not a good thing for beginners. Now Im flying a TT90SE, I setted for beginners and fly lovely, extremely stable, a bunch of power available, the mixture setting is not so critical and you can get easy out from trouble, parts are expensive but if you know your skills you can really save on this, my only complain given the fact that I live in Costa Rica and the fuel must be imported $$$ is that this machine consumes a LOT of fuel.
