Very Good! I learned a deception that happens in the brain when hovering
tail in your mind does it automaticlly.. correct? When facing nose in are the finger movements different? No. The problem is seperating visual from programmed to hard disc. It's mind over matter sort of.
Before you fly again do me a great favor! Locktite the steel balls to the swash plate!!!!!! I had a disaster happen which the long pushrod linking the swash plate to the rotor blade came off while over unfriendly ground from 30 foot hover. It is one of those mishaps that no one needs. They were put in at the factory and I check them with an allan driver and they were real tite.
The damage is around $294.00 USD so it comes out to be the most expensive crash I had to date.
The crash came after having the video camera underneath ($1000. MDV) The camera setup is a little heavy and the heli takes quite a bit to pull out of a decent. I landed and took the camera off and flew then landed, took on fuel and flew again when it happened.
I am taking a sabbatical for a little while and gearing up to fly the GP Yak 54 25%.
