| Squirrel in the road
Have you ever had a squirrel run out in front of you while you are driving? They kinda stop in the middle of the road and get confused. Then they run left, right and then left again. They can't decide which way to run and usually get creamed as a result of their indecisiveness (is that really a word?).
I had a squirrel moment with my heli. Had it hovering in a parking lot and a good gust of wind caught it and it started heading straight for my truck. I thought to myself "Drop the heli, save the truck, save the heli, screw the truck". This thought process repeated itself about 25 times in 3 miliseconds. I ended up dropping the heli and busting it up. Not sure why. The truck is insured and the heli is not. Maybe I just decided that it is easier to explain to my wife why I need $50 to repair my heli than it was to expain to my insurance agent why a rotor blade was sticking out of the side of my truck. |
