| Os32 Problem
I have a TT 30 V2 with an OS32 with TT muffler, Im new on Helis but old on fixed wings, today was my first forward flight and it was great!! , BUT at the end I had a big problem with my engine, The needle was adjusted at 3000 feets above sea level to two or three clicks to close from the point I had the RPMs to hover on middle stick, very rich to breakin, I did not change this setting and went to forward flight (at sea level) after a couples of nosein hovers and eight figures without problems at, lets say, 50 feets high, I decided to land (heart beat gots high) when I started to cut the throttle, the Heli started to came down very fast, I applied full throttle but no signs of reaction, (the engine kept running all the time) the descent speed slowed a bit because I think I started to autorotate (which is over my scope now) since my blades are at +8 degrees at full stick, one interesting thing, there was no wind at all, but when the Heli started to came down I saw that the smoke from the muffler stopped to draw the typical vertical line facing down and started to disipated very near from the muffler like having a strong turbulence from below. but at least at my level there was no wing. it happened twice, the first the Heli (with training gear) touched the ground and bounce vertically, I could recover the control after the bounce, second time the Heli stopped on the air cushion (ground effect) but went to its side, tip over and a pair of blades damaged, I have videos of all this.
Any help to gain condifent with this engine again will be great.  |
