| OK I HAVE TO STEP IN AS OWNER OF THIS SITE.
I think all of us have said our fair share of arguments, and I believe they are all valid in our own eyes.
Daz - There may be other ways of doing things that we experienced pilots don't know about. This is something called inventions. So if he managed to get 3 gyros in X-Y-Z axis hovering the heli for him in a hands-off configuration.. that's hats off to him.
Nick - We're all still learning the sport here. No matter how many years we have on our belt. What we try to do is to pass on that experience to others so that they don't have to experiment with things that don't work, and setup their heli the way it is intended to be setup. All of us who saw your heli setup would have told you to change to Li Po batteries and get a heli radio to mix your pitch/throttle curves. I started off like you, using a Y-Connector, but that doesn't give you anything near constant RPM. I found out later with a heli radio that setting up the entire heli was so much easier.
Cheers. |
