| This is fact,
Your thread started as a call for help to ask advice on a few issues.
1: Your heli even though the head was rotating fine would not give you lift enough to allow you to fly.
2:You mention inyour first post that you have been playing with your collective and you THINK it is fine.
3: You then ask what other people are useing for gear ratios.
4: You ask what the deal is with those ikarus motors
5: You ask which size motor out of the 2 mentioned you should be useing.
6: you ask if the battery is too heavy.
7: You ask why would ikarus sell a battery that adds too much weight to the copter to fly.
This is not my forum. I only call in every day to offer advice to the questions posted. I love this hobby allso and have been involved with it for 29years now. I have had a piccolo FP heli as well as many others. I have many freinds that call round for me to assist them with there problems this even goes down to RC cars.
I gave you some advice about the type of radio you are useing because I know this to be a massive problem to your enjoyment of the heli you have. I can not understand why you would go out of your way to buy so many upgrades for the Piccolo pro and have a radio that is not up to the job. ( I KNOW it would sort a lot of issues out and give you the best from your heli ) But you can only lead a horse to water you can't make it drink.
You asked many things and I answered honestly. I would not change anything said because I know it to be sound advice. What you do with the information given to you is up to you. I will no longer be interested.
My only mistake here was to assume that as you had a heli that was very modified. You would have had the sence to have a good radio.
You can not even confirm the pitch settings. I am still unsure about your ability to set the heli up properly. However I do wish you all the best with your heli. I hope that you get it sorted out and enjoy it as much as it was intended.
I will leave it at that.
Good luck,
Darren.
