| Re: Fuel Mixing Question Its easy to find over here, especially in Souhtern California. I go to the local motocycle shop its about $25 USD for 5 gallons of methanol. Nitro is a little pricy though. If you order from tower hobbies online you can get Klotz oils by the quart.
The nitro will add a little performance and helps on the bottom with the idle. the more Nitro you use the hotter the burn and subsequently the more wear over the long run on the engine. I definately recommend adding an ounce of klotz Benol to every gallon of fuel (store bought) in high performance engines. If the engine were inverted or prone to loading at idle, use a good 4 stroke plug (they have a longer element) they tend to resist dousing by the fuel oil mixture and give a more consistent idle. My big Moki 2.10 would turn a 20x10 carbon propellor at around 73-7400 rpm, and put out 23lbs of thrust on my homemade 0% nitro, 18% castor fuel.
